September 5 in the wizarding world
- 1991: The Gryffindor first years have their first Transfiguration class. Professor McGonagall turns a desk into a pig as a demonstration. The first years attempt to turn matches into needles. Only Hermione manages to make any change to her match.
- 1992: The Gryffindor Quidditch Team has a practice at dawn. Ron Weasley attempts to curse Draco Malfoy after he calls Hermione Granger a Mudblood, but his wand backfires and leaves him vomiting slugs.
- 1992: Harry Potter and Ron serve detentions with Gilderoy Lockhart and Argus Filch respectively. While coming back detention, Harry hears the Basilisk for the first time.
- 1995: Harry Potter has his third detention with Dolores Umbridge.
Whenever I read the Harry Potter books, I get angry when Ron and Harry are complaining about how much homework they have.

I will miss playing Harry. I will miss playing Harry very much. It’s been 10 years, I’ve had a great time. There’s nothing about it that I regret doing or regret being a part of. I’ll miss those times, I’ll miss my friends. At this point, it’s kind of hard to think of a time when it all won’t be a part of my life anymore.
